Strange Brew presents
Thursday 8th March.
9pm. Free

Molly Sterling's music takes on a dark and deep direction, where you will find soloistic guitar riffs, melodic cello lines, powerful rhythms all grounded in deep, dark and emotional lyrics, and an artist that possesses a unique and sonorous vocal influenced by and reminiscent of the likes of Lana Del Ray and London Grammar’s Hannah Reid.

She has been collaborating with a new band since September 2016, and along the way has focused their attention on recording the single ‘Plain Static’ with Darragh Nolan in Asta Kalapa studios, which was released 26th of October 2017 and has already garnered over 50,000 streams. As well as releasing 'Plain Static' they have been showcasing their live set at events such as Other Voices, Hard Working Class Heroes, Whelans Ones To Watch, Output festival, and IMRO First Cuts, to name but a few. Future plans include the release of two new singles in 2018, with appearances at some Irish summer festivals!

ROE is the moniker of 19-year-old grumpy multi-instrumentalist from Derry, Roisin Donald. A songwriter at heart, with pop hooks surrounded by lush synths and big drum machines, ROE describes her music as 'Grumpy Electro Pop’, and only a year into her song-writing career has already earned herself a slot at the legendary Glastonbury Festival, performing on the BBC Introducing stage.

ROE released her new single ‘Wasted.Patient.Thinking.’ on 26th January on Fictive Kin Records, and after being picked up on a number of New Music Friday playlists, gained 13,000 stream on Spotify on the first day of its release.
